Guitar Teacher NaokiNaoki received his Bachelors of Music from the Musicians Institute’s (MI) College of Contemporary Music in Los Angeles, USA.  After returning to Japan, Naoki has taught various advanced courses at MI Japan in Tokyo.  He has had the opportunity to record and play with various artists such as Mary Stickels, Tony Suggs, Fumio ” Hank” Nishiyama, Shingo Yamamoto, Ko Ito, Joe Kids, Kaori Kuno and more.  Naoki has also worked and composed for various TV commercials and musicals in Japan.  As an author, he has written books for guitar education published by Rittor Music as well as translated DVDs and books by overseas artists.  The American Guitar Academy is proud to have him as part of our team.

At the American Guitar Academy, not only just learning songs, but I also got to strengthen my foundation and get to learn how to use various of techniques naturally.  It’s such a big difference between a player who gets the basics down compares to a player who doesn’t.

It’s been about 20 years…

I started to play the guitar again after about 20 years.  I am enjoying learning from the basics to something that I have never learned before regarding Music Theory.  Not only in just guitar, but now I have a deeper understanding of music over all.  I would like to thank my teacher, Michael Kaplan.
