Mateus

Mateus is a versatile guitarist whose musical background spans a wide range of genres, from classical to rock, with a particular passion for the popular music of his native Brazil. He regularly performs at weddings, functions, and special events, including Hamamatsu Jazz Week.

With over 15 years of teaching experience, he brings a calm, supportive, and well-structured approach to every lesson. In addition to guitar, Mateus has also taught piano, music history, and music theory, and he holds the title of Junshiho in koto, reflecting both his broad musical expertise and his deep respect for traditional Japanese music.

Mateus holds degrees in Guitar and Music Education, as well as a Master’s and Doctorate in Musicology from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), one of Latin America’s leading universities.
