The Spanish classical guitarist Fernando Sor (1778 – 1839) was a superb composer who also wrote music for piano, string quartet, orchestra, opera, and ballet. Many of his guitar compositions are technically very difficult, but thankfully he also wrote some delightful little pieces for beginners too.
Study No.1 (Op. 60) is an excellent place to start playing Fernando Sor's music.
