They are long-time collaborators who have been performing together since 2017. They are back with their third world music concert, this time at the TAGA music school in Roppongi. Giovanni is performing on nylon-string classical guitar, and Ryan on an acoustic-electric archtop guitar. They have a great chemistry on stage and a lot of fun playing together.
Ryan and Giovanni will perform songs from different countries, each one showcasing a unique style of music. You will hear the passion of Tango from Argentina, the joy of Calypso from Trinidad, the elegance of Waltz from Austria, the groove of Reggae from Jamaica, and many more. They will share stories and insights about the origins and influences of these musical genres. You can learn about music & culture while enjoying the live performance.
This time, they will perform at the Roppongi school of TAGA, as part of the TAGA Teachers Concert Series. This is a new initiative to showcase the talents and diversity of the TAGA faculty and to offer students and guests a chance to enjoy live music in an intimate setting. The concerts take place after the lessons have finished, so you can come straight from your class or join us later.
Students get a 30 percent discount on the tickets, which are only 2000 yen for them. This is a great opportunity to learn about different styles of music and cultures, as well as to support your teachers and fellow students. The concert is limited to 18 audience members, so please reserve your seat as soon as possible using the website or the QR code below.
The doors open at 9:00 pm and the music will begin at 9:20 pm. The concert will last until 10:45 pm and the doors will close at 11:00 pm. There will be two sets with a brief intermission in between. You are welcome to bring your own beverages and snacks.
